In kinetic typography, font, form, color, and behavior is used to give the text "character" and evoke emotion based on the respective audio. The use of shadows, lighting, and position animation also gives the backdrop some depth. Lighting effects, 3D objects, customized animation presets, and anchor point keyframing were used to acheieve these effects.

This video displays how 2-D vector graphics can be animated independently but together in a single composition. The intro is a free stock photo which I added anchor point animation, text animation, and free sound effects to give it movement and life as it leads into the postcard opening. I created the elements of the postcard in Adobe Illustrator® as a single composition on different layers, and then imported it to After Effects, where I then key-framed each element/layer and added free beach sound effects.

This example shows how backgrounds can be changed in videos even when the subject is not in front of a green screen. To achieve the effects in this video, I utilized the color key function, basic rotoscoping, masking, key framing, and customized animation presets. This video also shows how the paint tool can be animated to create glowing or streak effects.

This assignment was created by crossfading stock video with different clips from the movie Grease to create a storyline for a fake music video. The song is titled 'Runaway' and I compiled the clips to make a story about a new couple in love that wants to run away to get married and have fun.
